ShyRiceball-Troublesome Beauty[Naruto]

Troublesome Beauty

It was about midday when Shikamaru finally got some one-on-one time with the clouds. The breeze was blowing ever so softly and he soon fell asleep. He woke to a chuckling sound, but he didn't open his eyes just yet. After a while something nudged his side, he opened one eye and glared up at none other than Temari of the Sand village.

"Wake up you brat! You have been here for hours!" She scolded. She was just like his mom, a total nag!

"Leave me alone, you troublesome woman..." Shika groaned as he turned over, his back to her now.

Temari, being the girl she is, took this a bit offensive and scowled.

"Why are you always in such a bad mood, kid?" she retorted, hands on her hips and head cocked.

"Because...it is troublesome people like you who won't let me sleep or nothin'.." He said back, with a slight trail in his voice.

"Eh, whatever. But how about you and me got get something to eat?..pocky is on me!" Temari offered with a smirk.

'Hmph...she is a stubborn one..that she is..but I like it..' he thought to himself.

With that, Shikamaru stood up, and they walked to a store and bought some random junk food and went over to a hill under a tree to eat. They rambled about their lives and how stupid people can be. Shikamaru found that he and Temari get along quite well and have many of the same interests and outlooks on life.

"Hey..Temari.." Shikamaru asked, looking at the sun as it set.

"Hm?"

Shikamaru turned his head to look at her, "You aren't as troublesome as I thought...you know that?" he said.

Temari laughed at the fact that she thought of this as a cliche movie clip, but she took it as a compliment and flashed him her firm and thoughtful grin. After a few hours of talking, eating and teasing, Temari and Shikamaru parted ways, and the entire walk home, Temari thought of what he had said before...'you aren't as troublesome as I thought'... She started to feel all giddy and giggly, and she didn't know why. She supposed it was all of the junk food she ate, but in her gut she knew that she just might have stronger feelings for him than she would've liked. She had heard from a few people that Shikamaru talked about her all the time and just seemed to a bit perky and energetic while doing so, but she thought he was just a close friend...

ShyRiceball-Puppy Love[Naruto]

It was another day at the Ninja Academy. Naruto came rushing up the stairs, yelling something to Sakura.

"Hey!! Sakura-chan! Wanna see my new jutsu?!!" He was almost out of breath.

"As if! Why would I waste my time observing another perverted jutsu of your's? Go show someone else!!" She yelled back, followed by a punch to the forehead. After he recovered, Naruto spotted Hinata. He quickly ran over to her, but stopped when he saw her face go red.

"Are you okay, Hinata-chan?" He asked, puzzled. Naruto always saw her like this when he came around.

"N-N-Naruto-kun!! I mean...um..uh..y-yes! I'm fine...." She stammered, she twiddled her fingers franticly. Naruto cocked his head, then shook his questions away.

" So, Do you wanna see my new jutsu? It's pretty cool!!" He said, with this he gave her a huge grin that looked as if to continue off his face. On the other side of the room, Kiba, Shikamaru, Chouji, and Shino were talking. Out of the corner of his eye, Kiba spotted Hinata with Naruto. He could see Hinata's expression, and got very angry.

" Um..N-Naruto-kun?" Hinata said, "I...wanted to s-say for a v-v-very long..time now..th....that I..*gulp* uh...r-r-really like--" She was interrupted by Naruto's outburst.

" What? Ya mean my new jutsu? But you haven't even seen it yet!!" He said, confused. What Naruto, nor Hinata knew, was that Kiba was standing right next to them now.

" Naruto!!" Kiba said, " You don't get it do you?"

"Get what?" Naruto said.

"K-k-kiba-kun! W-wait!!!" Hinata cried out, she stood up out of her seat and reached out towards Kiba, but was too late at this point.

" Argh! You're so stupid, Naruto!! She is trying to say she likes you! She has ALWAYS liked you!! Why can't you give others a chance?!!!? Just SHUT UP and LISTEN every once in a while!" He growled. He was so blinded by frustration, that he could barley see. What he did see, was a single tear roll down Hinata's face as she grew redder and redder. Naruto frowned a bit.

"Her? like me? Yeah right!! Besides, she isn't my type..." Naruto said, with an annoyed look on his face.

" Not...not your type?" Kiba and Hinata said in unison. Kiba growled these words and Hinata squeaked them, she felt as if she shrunk to the size of Shino's bugs as she let a few more tears loose.

"Yeah, just too quiet...not what I'm looking for." Naruto said back. Kiba was then white-hot mad.

" How dare you!! She is kind, caring, and gentle!! I would be the luckiest man on EARTH, to be dating Hinata-chan!! But she.likes.YOU!!!" He yelled, so mad, he barely could catch what he was saying. Naruto then had another wide grin spread across his face.

"..So..do you like Hinata-chan?" Naruto asked, snickering.

" Of course I do! I have ever since we were little, and I--....." Kiba stopped, and started to realize what he had said. After a long pause, everyone started whispering, and a few kids where giggling. Shikamaru ran over to Kiba, and put an hand on his shoulder.

"Hey, man. You okay?" Shikamaru asked Kiba, trying to sound as gentle and caring as possible. Kiba shrugged him off, and stormed away, leaving Naruto to roll around and laugh on the floor.

" I hope you choke, DOBE!!" Kiba yelled back at him.

Kiba stormed out of the room, Naruto still laughing hysterically and the thought of Kiba liking Hinata.

"K-Kiba-kun!!" Hinata cried after him, but he had already left. Kiba went outside, and sat on the ground. He put his head in his hands and let out a big sigh. Akamaru whined concerned. Hinata silently walked up behind him.

"Kiba-kun..d-do you..really like me?" She asked him gently. She wiped her face and began to regain her regular skin tone.

"Yes. Yes, Hinata I do." he replied, he was grinning pathetically, but still holding his head. He stood up after a while and faced her, grabbed her by her shoulders and looked her in the eyes. He almost spaced out while looking at them. Her beautiful, lavender eyes he loved so dearly. He came back to his senses and got a serious face.

"I have to know," He said, "Do you like me?"

She was shocked. pondering her thoughts. She liked, no, loved Naruto...but Kiba had always been by her side. Helping her, encouraging her. He was nice, and acknowledge her. She finally came to a conclusion.

"No." She said.

Kiba was surprised, and heartbroken, but didn't show it. He turned around and nodded. He almost started crying. He took a step and then Hinata whimpered a bit to get his attention, so he turned to look at her.

"I love you." She said half smiling, half twitching.

Kiba was motionless, but finally he turned around to face her. She was about to say something, but he pulled her into a kiss. They both seemed to fade away in thought. Of how much they love each other, and how long it took for both of them to either say it or realize it...but now that doesn't matter, huh?

Fight for your Existence

The sun was beginning to set as I prepared to leave my campsite. It was going to get dark soon, and that's just the way I like it. As I bounded through the tree, I could sense someone nearby. I readied myself for an ambush and reach for a kunai. The next thing I knew, a shower of shuriken came raining down on me. My blood splattered onto the trees around me as I tried to stifle a cry of pain. The enemies appeared from behind the foliage with their weapons ready. I was too weak to fight; my previous battle had left me wounded, and my body was still exhausted.

I fell to my knees and gripped my left arm. I had pulled out three shuriken from one spot on my arm, which was now throbbing with pain. As my blood spilled onto my hand, I began to feel lightheaded. The enemies leaped forward with the intent to kill me, but suddenly four blurry figures appeared from nowhere and stopped the foes dead in their tracks.

The last thing I could remember was a girl reaching out and touching my arm, saying "It's okay. We'll protect you..."

The crackling sound of a fire grew as my senses awakened. I opened my eyes slightly, just enough to see blurred colors. As I tried to moved, I noticed that my body ached all over. I moaned dramatically and flopped back down on the ground. I felt someone tap me on my shoulder, so I opened my eyes. I saw a fish on a stick above my face, and it smelled delicious.

'Here. Eat." I sat up, looked at the girl, looked at the fish, and snatched it from her hand. I turned away from her and silently gnawed on it. Soon after, everyone except for me and the girl who gave me the fish was asleep. She walked over to me and sat down. She was kinda dressed like a guy, but she was pretty. She looked at me and asked, "How do you feel?" I kept quiet. Her voice was awkward for a girl, but I loved looking at her eyes. They were a very light shade of lavender, and they were full of mystery.

"What is your name? Why won't you speak? Please say something..." "...You're pretty." She looked stunned. "Th-thank you." "Sooo...what's you name?" "Neji." "I'm...Nikushimi." She looked puzzled, so I quickly changed the subject.

"So, uh, do you like...dresses?" "No. I'm not a girl, if that's what you were thinking." My face turned bright red as I noticed that Neji was kind of boyish.

"Oh, ah-ha-ha, sorry about that. It's just, your face and hair...wow. You're a pretty-boy." So I wouldn't embarrass myself any further, I went to sleep. The next morning, Neji and the rest of his team, whose names are Tenten, Rock Lee, and Gai-sensei, took me back to their village, which was my home long ago. They asked if I needed help finding a place to stay, and I told them that I could manage.

I lied.

I sat on my favorite hill--the one I used to sit on when I was little--and looked at the clouds passing by. In that moment, I didn't care about anything. As long as I could watch the sky, I'd be content. I lied down, and soon I was asleep.

A little while later, I was woken by a cool breeze. I pulled my knees up to my chest and wrapped my arms around them. Since I was only wearing a belly-shirt and shorts, I felt like I was going to freeze to death.

"Are you okay?" I turned my head to find a blonde-haired blue-eyed boy standing next to me.

"You'll get sick if you stay out here." I looked around and noticed that the sun was almost gone from sight. I looked back at the boy and noticed that he had whiskers on his face.

"N-Naruto!?" "Huh? How do you know my name?" I stood up and said excitedly, "It's me, Nikushimi!" I hugged him, and at the same time, nearly stopped his breathing. When we were little, I was his only friend and visa-versa. But five months after we became friends, I was taken away from the village.

"Niku-chan! Stop!" I let him go and he gasped for air.

"Sorry. Are you all right?" "Y-yeah...Niku-chan, I miss you too, but you don't have to almost kill me. Now why are you out here in the cold?" "Uh..." "You don't have a place to stay, do you?" "Nope." "C'mon..." He threw his jacket at me, turned around, and started walking. I put his jacket on and followed him.

"Thanks for letting me stay with you, oniichan. And...thanks for letting me borrow your pajamas..." "No problem." Naruto said with his usual goofy grin. I crawled into bed and cuddled him. All night long I couldn't stop thinking about Neji. I could see it in his eyes, the same thing I've seen in Naruto's eyes and my own. Being alone, rejected, trapped; I saw it all.

"*Yaaaawn* Good morning, Naruto-kun," I said as I stretched my arms. I looked over at him only to find that he was still sleeping. His right leg was hanging out of the bed, and his arms were around my waist. He was talking in his sleep saying, "No, mommy, you're warm...don't make me go to Pockyland...I wanna go to Ramengakure..." I rolled my eyes and replaced myself with the pillow, which he began to drool on.

"*Sigh* Same old Naruto..."
